When the concrete is in liquid and flowable state, it can be poured into your desired frame configurations easily. Once the concrete solidifies in the frameworks inserted, it will take up the shape that you desired to achieve from it. The desired shapes can then be used for the construction purposes. Hardens at room temperature:
Concrete does not require any change in temperature to harden and gain its strength. It can harden at its best at room temperature itself because of the presence of cement as one of its major ingredients which is a low-temperature bonded inorganic construction material. The tensile strength of concrete is very low, which is 1/10th of its compression strength. Several materials like fibres and polymers are added to the concrete to increase the tensile strength.
Concrete has less ability to consume impact energy, which is how the toughness of a substance is considered. When compared to steel, it has been reported that concrete has only 2% toughness of that of steel.
